He had amazing video game skill when he was a pup and referred to by Shaggy as the Video Champ of Coolsville. He can stretch out his tongue to a rather impossible length. But his tail often gives him away while in disguise. Both his head and tail are malleable and useful as a communication aid or creating a distraction. He has a fully prehensile tail he can use to swing from or press buttons. Like many dogs he has an incredible sense of smell, earning his nose the nickname "Super Sniffer". When he was a puppy, Scooby Snacks would make him blast off like a rocket, before gliding gently back down to earth. He's shown to be a master dancer, as he got a perfect score on the WWE's victory dance, and avoided Kane's attacks. He also has a great sense of balance, as he can ride on a unicycle while juggling and balancing a fishbowl on his head. His tail is prehensile, being used to get him out of certain situations, if need be. He can also morph his body to mimic any and all monsters he has encountered, along with some humans, too. Dealing with Scrappy, would get him on his hind legs a lot, when he wanted to keep himself and Scrappy away from a monster. He can stand on his hind legs, which he gradually does more often as the years have gone by. He can also talk to other animals (mostly dogs), which comes in handy whenever the gang needs help or more information. He has peculiar and extraordinary abilities, such as being able to talk in English, although not without pronouncing most words as if they begin with an "R", though most people are able to understand him perfectly (if they acknowledge that he can speak at all). When he solves cases with his nephew Scrappy-Doo, he's very protective of him, as he often runs after him to prevent him from going straight to the monster or ghost. He has a rather mischievous side as he frequently pulls scare pranks and would snatch food from Shaggy. He also doesn't like being upstaged when someone does better than him and would try to prove otherwise. He enjoys a lot of attention and would sometimes appear brave and heroic. His catch phrase, usually howled at the end of every mystery, is "Scooby-Dooby-Doo!" or "Rooby-Rooby-Roo", sometimes followed by a quirky chuckle. Scooby-Doo and Shaggy share several personality traits, mostly being constantly hungry, being scared easily and most of the time refuse to help others, but their friends ( Velma Dinkley, Daphne Blake and Fred Jones) encourage them to go after the costumed villains usually with " Scooby Snacks", a biscuit-like dog treat or cookie snack (usually shaped like a bone or as shown in later versions of the cartoons Scooby's dog tag), though occasionally appealing to Scooby-Doo inherent loyalty and courage to take a more heroic stance. He has a black nose and wears an off-yellow, diamond shaped-tagged blue-green collar with an "SD" (his initials) and has four toes on each foot and unlike other dogs, Scooby only has one pad on the sole of each of his feet. Scooby also has opposible thumbs and can use his front paws like hands. He is generally a quadruped, but displays bipedal 'human' characteristics occasionally. Scooby is brown from head to toe with several distinctive black spots on his upper body. Physical appearance For a full list of what Scooby wears, see Scooby-Doo's outfits and disguises

It’s like teaching your slider to dance the tango with fingertips! Is there any way to preload images in my CSS slider? Using JS, we listen for touchstart, touchmove, and touchend events, calculate the swipe direction and trigger the slider to move accordingly. It’s doable, but we’ve got to call in our JavaScript buddy for this one. Swipe functionality? That’s bringing a touch of mobile magic to your slider. What about adding swipe functionality to my slider? It’s a bit like creating a mini-map for your slider journey. You can make them interactive with a dash of JavaScript, changing the slide when a dot is clicked. With a bit of HTML and CSS, you can create a series of dots that correspond to each slide. Wind it up, let it go, and watch the magic unfold! Can I add navigation dots to my CSS slider?ĭefinitely! Navigation dots are like breadcrumbs for your slider, guiding the viewer through the story you’re telling. To achieve this with CSS, you need to step into the realm of keyframe animations.Ĭreate a animation that changes the left or transform property over a certain duration, and apply this animation to your slides. Add what you want, where you want! How can I auto-play the slides?Īuto-play, the unseen hand guiding your slides. To add text or buttons, just include them in the list item ( ) for each slide. You can put anything in a slide! Imagine each slide as a blank canvas. Oh, of course! Sliders aren’t just for images. Can I add text and buttons to my CSS slider? It’s like puppeteering, with JS pulling the strings. Use event listeners to trigger CSS changes and manipulate your slider’s behavior. With JS, you can make the slider respond to user interactions, like clicking buttons to go to the next or previous slide. Trust me, it’s worth the effort! Can I control the slider with JavaScript?Ībsolutely! JavaScript and CSS sliders are like peanut butter and jelly. It’s about using percentages, position property, and some sweet transitions. It’s a type of slider where slides keep looping around-no beginning, no end, just like our merry-go-round.Ĭreating a carousel in CSS involves a little bit more complexity. Smooth moves guaranteed! What’s this “carousel” thing I keep hearing about?Ĭarousel, eh? Picture a merry-go-round with your content on it. It’s like adding flair to your dance steps! In the CSS world, we use the transition property.Īpply this property to your slides, and specify the property you want to transition (like left or transform), the duration of the transition, and the timing function. How can I add transitions to my CSS slider?Īh, the art of transition. Still, this one’s a bit plain, so let’s get fancier as we go along. This means that MIDI implementation is entirely separate, and the two modes can be switched between by holding shift and pressing the hot cue button, at which point the hot cue button glows a nuclear green. It's not middleware, but a direct interface that functions specifically between NI kit. At around four times the resolution of MIDI, it gives controls a smooth feel, and allows for advanced visual feedback. NHL may be a familiar initialism, but NI have appropriated it as Native Hardware Library (and had I even the faintest idea about ice hockey, this piece would be a great deal more pun-laden than it is), and it provides a direct, high resolution link between NI hardware and software. Oh, and feeling flush and itching to control all four decks in your Traktor Pro? If you so desire, plugging two X1s in is just as simple as one. Everything feels like it's got room to breathe, although the hot cue buttons aren't really ideal for an extravagant cue point juggling routine. The spacing of the controls of the unit is expertly designed. And of course, the sturdy clicking action of the button leaves the user under no illusions as to whether the button got pushed or not. The feel of the rubber itself is more grippy than plastic, helping to ensure you can remain in control during a button bashing frenzy. The rubber is translucent and allows the backlight to glow through its entirety, facilitating a finger's path towards it under poor lighting. This marriage of two styles lends the buttons a number of advantages. The buttons on the X1 are interesting, using the soft rubber ala Maschine's buttons, but with a firm click when they get depressed. The encoders are larger and have a subtle clicking action which aids accuracy, as well as a push switch function which I haven't yet activated by mistake. The pots are smooth and the detent is just about right, easy enough to feel for a quick reset but not so defined that it causes annoyance during a frantic control-wringing session. There are two types of knob the majority are 7 o'clock/5 o'clock pots with a central detent, which are complemented by four rotary encoders. It's light but sturdy, and its brushed metal fascia is sleek and sufficiently up-market feeling. There's also a handy spindle hole in the underside of the unit which allows you to plonk it on a turntable platter, at a pinch.Īs for the feel of the unit itself, I've nothing but praise. Its height helps it sit just right along a laptop or other MIDI controller, and for those with decks and a mixer, the carry case (sold separately) doubles as a spacer to place the X1 at the perfect height. Size wise, the X1 is a nice fit between (or alongside) a turntable or CDJ and a mixer, and the included USB cable should be long enough to allow connection to most orientations of laptop. I spent some time taking it through its paces to see whether it succeeds. The Kontrol X1 is a slab of controls with a specific goal: to make interacting with your favourite DJ software (especially if that software is Traktor Pro) more easy and more fun. NI's increasingly bold steps in the hardware arena all fall on the same principle – that whilst software design frees the product designers' visions from the restrictions of hardware, tangible control is an important aspect of performance equipment creating integrated solutions is the future. I was, of course, using Traktor, and he was right. "Chris," he began, gently, "as exciting as staring at a screen with one hand on the mouse can be, you just can't beat the feeling of getting the real thing beneath your fingertips". Allow me, if you will, to recount an important lesson my dad once taught me as a teenager, following an unwelcome interruption during a computer session. Also, optimized battery charging takes time to learn your usage and kicks in after two or three weeks. For example, you can’t restrict battery charge to 60% or 70%. Aldente (Third-Party App)Īpple’s optimized battery charging function is limiting in many ways. Optimized battery charging will get in action and limit the charge to 80 percent, reducing the battery cell’s wear and tear. The practice is helpful for those who keep their MacBook connected to an external monitor all the time. Your Mac learns from your daily charging routine, so it can wait to finish charging past 80 percent. Step 5: Enable checkmark beside Optimized battery charging. Step 4: Select Battery from the left sidebar. Step 2: Open the System Preferences menu. Step 1: Click the Apple icon in the top left corner. Apple introduced an optimized battery charging function on Mac to reduce battery cycles. Once your MacBook reaches 1000 cycles, you will notice shorter battery life. Every time your MacBook charges to 100%, macOS counts it as one cycle. Most MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models come with 1000 charging cycles. Instead, you can use the tricks below to limit battery charge, improve your MacBook battery health, and enjoy superior battery endurance. Here are the top three ways to restrict battery charge on a MacBook.Ī typical MacBook battery replacement is costly to your wallet (it can cost up to $200). Instead, you can limit the device charge to a specific percentage, reduce battery cycles, and improve battery health as well as lifespan. The Apple MacBook battery is made of such materials, and charging it at 100 percent most of the time will affect the battery’s health in the long run. All Li-ion and polymer batteries have a limited lifespan.
